Therapy - Round 4

Groundhog Day. This week was had a real sense of rinse and repeat. Summer had opened up and my spirits were rather high. I had my routine locked down. Plenty of guitar, meditation, soft breathing techniques and going outside to sit or walk by the bank of the Canal, amongst the Kreuzbergers, enjoying the tempo and flow that a grassy riverbank provides one with. Reading, lounging, playing music, chatting with the other patients enjoying the very-welcome intermission between treatments. The evenings outside the hospital on the canal banks were filled with the multicultural vibe that is Kreuzberg.

I found myself in a positive frame of mind, with a lot less nervousness than I had in previous weeks. I have no doubt it was due to the parasympathetic exercises I was doing, and the belief the treatments were working. I was definately feeling stronger, and had put an approximate 15kg of fat and water.

It was giving me an idea of what work would lay in wait should the next batch of results come back positive. I started doing some light exercises and a few easy yogic exercises in my hospital room, boosting my vitality and positivity.

I had made some bonds there; doctors, nurses, patients, and would miss the camaraderie and support that existed there, knowing how lucky I was to have been in this environment while facing this illness.

I will leave the treatment part on this note and end with my last moments on the cancer ward with a few meanderings and little bit of musical improv a few minutes before leaving the hospital ward behind, and and a little bit of a 'Rebirthing'-walk in nature back home. (next - 'Remission')
